Year 4 - Autumn Term
The Iron Man
During this topic children will:
- Write our own Iron Man character descriptions
- Write instructions about how to trap the Iron Man
- Learn about place value, including the four rules (addition/ subtraction/ multiplication and division)
- Create our own Iron Man models using junk materials
Over the first half of the Autumn term, we will be reading the following book:

You can support your child by helping them to learning the vocabulary for the topic and completing the home learning tasks.
The Victorians
During this topic children will:

Learn about how people lived during the Victorian period

Make and evaluate tradition Victorian toys

Cook some traditional Victorian recipes

Take part in a Victorian theme day where we will dress up in traditional Victorian costumes and transform our classroom into a Victorian classroom with a strict Victorian teacher visitor!
