Netball Club

Netball club is an extremely popular club in the school. We are lucky enough to offer an after school training session to every pupil, both boys and girls, of all abilities to all Year groups.

They experience a great atmosphere, excellent team building skills, ethos and most importantly development in the understanding of the skills set of the game. It has been known occasionally for myself and my assistant to join in with the training sessions. Also, there is an additional session by invite only for the Year 5/6 squad.

As well as having fun and keeping fit while learning the sport we subscribe to a small Basildon Schools netball league where the children are able to play competitively, putting into practise their skills with great determination and grit to be the best they can be. In addition, annually the teams are able to play in various rallies including the Basildon Police rally, which we were champions of in 2018, a first in Greensted’s history. The children are extremely proud to wear our school kit at all our matches showing a great love and passion for the game.

Each year, we look forward to having new children join the club, whose energy, enthusiasm and thirst to learn the skills of the game reinvigorates the whole team.
